About Dave "Watchdog" Miner
Dave "Watchdog" Miner is a trusted friend in the community and proud resident of Manatee County since 1976. Dave currently serves on the School District of Manatee County School Board and is running for re-election. Dave earned his nickname "Watchdog" from local reporters in the area referring to his constant vigilance of community issues related to education and children. Dave has had his own law firm since 1978, and previously served as an Assistant City Attorney, Assistant County Attorney, and Assistant State Attorney.
Dave has received many community service awards for his achievements and contributions to the community, including "Children's Advocate of the Year," "Father of the Year," "Drum Major for Justice," and Nominee for "Florida Attorney of the Year." He has served in numerous leadership positions in educational and service organizations.
